It's about Time for Day 6 of the 10 Days of Thanksgiving Crochet Event! Are you in?

We're 1/2 way through our 10 Days of Thanksgiving

Crochet Event.  Can you believe it?

Today is all about time!  Time has a way of just slipping by us whether we like it or not.  There are moments in life where time zips by and that's a good thing.  Yet, there are other moments in life that we just want time to stop so we can hold on just a little bit longer.

I bet you're thinking about those moments right now!

When we were kids, we were in such a hurry to grow up and yet now that we've made it to the "grown up" stage, wouldn't it be wonderful if time would just slow down?

When was the last time you were able to go for a casual walk - no time restrictions - and sit on a park bench and just watch ?  Watch the joggers passing by...  Watch the dogs in the park...Watch the kids on the playground...Listen to the birds in the trees... Just sit and enjoy or ponder or relax...

I know that I have my days where I don't take the time to pay attention to the little things in life.  I'm getting better though!  I'm trying to be more conscious about everything and everyone around me so I can actually take the time to enjoy and appreciate them.

Since we're talking about time, let's take a minute to recap (just in case a friend is seeing this event for the first time)

Kristine from Ambassador Crochet just released the new Sundial hat crochet pattern.  This is what she said

"As I worked up this design, I realized the texture of this hat reminds me of the shadows that a sundial would create. It’s just enough texture to make it amazing, without making it too difficult. I never wear hats and I’m keeping this one for myself!"

Yay!!!! She took the time to make something and is keeping it for herself. 💝  This past week, I've had the chance to visit with you on Facebook Live and I've been surprised at how many friends commented that they've never taken the time to crochet something for yourself.   Let's change that!  It's ok to take some time for you.

I think the time that sneaks by the fastest is the time we have with our kids.  One moment they're sweet, tender little babies and the next thing you know, they're graduating from High School and heading out on their own adventure.  We don't know what tomorrow holds so let's appreciate and love them for who they are and enjoy watching them and the snuggle time we do have.

Heidi from Snappy Tots designed the fun Flat Snappy Bed Blanket with time in mind.  Time to relax, Time to snuggle, Time to nap, Time to read...

Kids are being pushed so much further in school than when we were young.  They are so smart and have so much life ahead of them and we want the best for them.  Sometimes, we need to take a breath and let our kids be kids.  Put a smile on their face for nap time or reading time with this fun pattern!

For my pattern,  I chose the Flower Garden Chevron Afghan for you.  I am thankful for the time that I have with my girls, husband and extended family.  We've been able to go camping with family several times over the past few years and I'm thankful we've had the time to make fun memories.  I'm thankful that I was able to know both sets of grandparents and that my girls were able to meet and spend time with my mom's parents.  I'm thankful for my dad teaching us how to work and the value of time.  I'm thankful for the time my parents spent taking me to softball games and music concerts in school (back in the day) and just being amazing parents.  I have so many things to be thankful for and I'm going to take the time to be better at paying attention and living in the moment instead of worrying about what comes next.  I hope you can all "Stop and smell the roses" of life with me and enjoy your garden of life!
