Valentine Projects for 2015

With Valentine's Day not to far away,  I decided that I'd better start working on some projects for my girls to give their friends.  I'm finding a lot of fun and cute crochet patterns to choose from. Other than a cowl and matching boot cuffs that my daughter has asked me to make for her teacher, I'm not sure what to do for the rest.  It will have to be quick projects as I have a lot going on right now.  Here's a fun crochet pattern roundup just for Valentine projects so we can all brainstorm and share fun ideas with each other.

Of course, I now have my copy of the Battle of the Stitches eBook with 14 awesome crochet designs based on the theme "Love is in the Air" and will definitely be working up some of those projects, but I need to figure out who to specifically make them for.  So that is on my list to do.

In the mean time,
Here's a fun crochet pattern roundup just for Valentine projects so we can all brainstorm and share fun ideas with each other.

Free crochet pattern by Crochet Memories

This cute little Lip Fridgie crochet pattern is from Crochet Memories

Of course, we have to have Hearts for Valentines!

Free heart crochet pattern from Fiber Flux

Check out these Tiny One Round Hearts from Fiber Flux

A fun gift idea would be this Lips Applique and Cozy.
This project brought to you by Simply Collectible Crochet

Cup Cozy by Simply Collectible Crochet

Or this Valentines Day Mug Cozy from Little Monkeys Crochet

I love the idea of a layering project! Cre8tion Crochet did an awesome job on this Layered Daisy in Heart design.

I think this Love Garden Granny Afghan block from Dearest Debi is beautiful! I may not be able to use it for a quick project, but I will be using it in the future!

The Heart Wreath project from Posh Pooch Designs would be fun to see on classroom doors.

Something that may be a great idea for her close friends would be a hat!  Here are a few adorable crochet hats from some lovely designers.

The Jelly Bean Slouch from Snappy Tots makes a cute Valentines hat too.

Emy's Beanie from MNE Crafts

The Hearts Go Round hat from Cre8tion Crochet

Ring Around Hearts Beanie from MNE Crafts

Though they seem really similar, these 2 hats are quite different. Both are very cute! This one is from My Hobby Is Crochet and it's called A Hat with Love

I really like how the hearts are set in this Baby Mine hat pattern from Moogly.

And for those who don't like to wear hats, maybe a cute scarf would be a better option.

Check out this Heart String Scarf from Snappy Tots

Or this cute little Cable Heart Gift Bag from Moogly

Coasters are quick to work up and fun to give with a treat.  This is a quick Heart Coaster or Applique from Jessie At Home

Last but not least, is this adorable Hearts of Love Sweater from Pattern Paradise.  This would be my gift to my own daughters and I know they would love them!

I hope you've been able to see some fun options for your Valentine's Day and maybe even a new designer or 2.  So, what are you waiting for?  Pick up those hooks and share your love of crochet with others.
