V Stitch Preemie Hat Pattern

­­V Stitch Preemie Hat

Hook Size: G                                                                                        Gauge: 4 SC & 4 Rows = 1”
Materials: 1-2 oz Caron Simply Soft Yarn
Stitches: Ch, SC, DC, V Stitch (DC, Ch2, DC in same stitch)



Chain 2
Round 1: 6 SC in 2^nd ch from hook, join w/ sl st in 1^st SC to form a ring

Round 2: Ch 3, turn, 2 DC in 1^st SC, 3 DC in each of the next 5 SC, join w/ sl st in top of
                beginning ch 3 (18 stitches)

Round 3:  Ch 1, turn, 2 SC in each st around, (36 stitches) join with sl st

Round 4: Ch 3, turn, *sk 2 SC, V Stitch in next SC,* Repeat *to* around, sl st in top of ch 3

Round 5: Ch 3, turn, 3 DC in each V Stitch around, Sl st in top of ch 3, 

Round 6-9: Repeat Rounds 4 & 5

Round 10: Ch 3, turn, DC in each DC around, join with sl st,

Round 11: Ch 2 turn, DC around FP of next stitch, *DC around BP of next stitch, DC around FP of next stitch*  
                 Repeat from *to* around join with sl st in top of ch 2, Fasten off and weave in ends.
