Skill Level: Easy
Materials: Size K crochet hook
                 850 yrds Red Heart Super Saver yarn for 3'x4' afghan 
Colors used: Jade, Real Teal, White
Gauge: 4 DC & 1 Row = 1"

Stitches: 
Ch - Chain
st(s) - stitch(es)
sl st - slip stitch
sk - skip
YO - Yarn Over
SC - Single Crochet
HDC - Half Double Crochet
DC - Double Crochet
CL - Cluster

Special Stitches:
Shell - (2 DC, Ch 2, DC, Ch 2, 2 DC) in same st
Cluster - (YO, insert hook in indicated st, pull up a loop, YO, pull through 2 loops on hook)4x, YO, pull through all 5 loops on hook

Notes: 
       1. You can use your choice of yarn though finished sizes will vary from sizes specified here.
       2. Beginning Ch 3 counts as a DC
       3. For my afghan, I switched colors every 2 rows so that I could carry the yarn up the side and not have so many ends to weave in.



Begin with a HDC Foundation Chain: 87 (26"), 123 (36"), 159 (46"), 195 (56") OR customize by working in multiples of 36 + 15

Row 1: Ch 3, turn, sk next st, DC in next st, Ch 2, sk next st, DC in next 2 sts, Ch 2, sk next 2 sts, CL in next st, Ch 2, sk next 2 sts, *[DC in next 2 sts, Ch 2, sk next st]5x, Shell in next st, [Ch 2, sk next st, DC in next 2 sts]5x, Ch 2, sk next 2 sts, CL in next st, Ch 2, sk next 2 sts,* Repeat from *to* across, DC in next 2 sts, Ch 2, sk next st, DC in next 2 sts

Row 2: Ch 1, turn, SC in next 2 DC's, Ch 2, sk next Ch 2, SC in next 2 DC's, Ch 2, sk next Ch 2, SC in top of CL, *Ch 4, sk next Ch 2, sk next 2 DC's, sk next Ch 2, [SC in next 2 DC's, Ch 2, sk next Ch 2]5x, SC in next st, [Ch 2, sk next Ch 2, SC in next 2 DC's]5x, Ch 4, sk next Ch 2, sk next 2 DC's, sk next Ch 2, SC in top of next CL,* Repeat from *to* across, Ch 2, sk next Ch 2, SC in next 2 DC's, Ch 2, sk next Ch 2, SC in next 2 DC's

HDC in top of next CL, [HDC around next Ch, HDC in next 2 sts]2x, Ch 2, Rotate to work down side of afghan, work 3 HDC around each DC/Ch 3 and 1 HDC around each SC down to bottom corner, work 3 HDC around corner st, Ch 2, Rotate to work across bottom of afghan, HDC between each foundation st to next corner skipping 3 sts where every shell is worked on Row 1 (sk 1 before Shell, 1 of the Shell, & 1 after the Shell), work 3 HDC around corner st, Ch 2, Rotate to work up next side of afghan, work 3 HDC around each DC/Ch 3 and 1 HDC around each SC to top corner, Ch 2, sl st to beginning Ch 2 to connect,
