It's about Time for Day 6 of the 10 Days of Thanksgiving Crochet Event! Are you in?

We're 1/2 way through our 10 Days of Thanksgiving

Crochet Event.  Can you believe it?

Today is all about time!  Time has a way of just slipping by us whether we like it or not.  There are moments in life where time zips by and that's a good thing.  Yet, there are other moments in life that we just want time to stop so we can hold on just a little bit longer.

I bet you're thinking about those moments right now!

When we were kids, we were in such a hurry to grow up and yet now that we've made it to the "grown up" stage, wouldn't it be wonderful if time would just slow down?

When was the last time you were able to go for a casual walk - no time restrictions - and sit on a park bench and just watch ?  Watch the joggers passing by...  Watch the dogs in the park...Watch the kids on the playground...Listen to the birds in the trees... Just sit and enjoy or ponder or relax...

I know that I have my days where I don't take the time to pay attention to the little things in life.  I'm getting better though!  I'm trying to be more conscious about everything and everyone around me so I can actually take the time to enjoy and appreciate them.

Since we're talking about time, let's take a minute to recap (just in case a friend is seeing this event for the first time)

Today, we're thankful for holidays.  I love the Thanksgiving and Christmas season!  I love the change of weather, I love that people are thinking of others more than usual and I love the family time that we get to spend together.

One of our family traditions is old fashioned homemade candy during the holidays.  It's one of those things where the recipe is more of "a little of this and a dash of that" and you just learn it and make it until you get it right.  My aunt always made fudge, penuche and Boston cream candy every holiday season.  It would take HOURS for 1 small batch to be made and you could eat it all in a few minutes.  I coaxed her into walking me through the recipes and it took a while to get them down but I'm thankful that I get to carry on with that tradition.

I wish each of you a wonderful holiday season and hope that it is overflowing with love and kindness 💗
