With All My Heart Photo Prop design for The Battle of the Stitches

Good Morning friends!  I have some VERY exciting news!!!  Round 4 of the Battle of the Stitches crochet challenge has come to  close and the winners have been chosen.

It was very exciting to be a challenger this round.  I admit that it was hard not knowing every detail going on behind the scenes AND  it was hard not to tell anyone what I designed too!  One of the many great things about the Battle of the Stitches is that all the voting is based on the designs themselves.  I knew before going into the challenge that I would not make any girls dresses because I didn't want it to be a giveaway that it was my design.

The theme "Love is in the Air" was given to us first.  Right away, I wanted to do a heart shaped photo prop to share the love of babies.  I have been blessed with 4 beautiful girls and the love that I felt for them while pregnant was very strong and then the moment they were born, but love and bond was so much stronger and I cherish being able to have that first snuggle with each of them.

Next, we were given the stitch that we needed to use as the focus of our designs.  The Love Knot aka Solomn's Knot....

SAY WHAT????
Oh Heavens!  I was worried!  I had seen this stitch many times, but had never worked with it.  It is pretty, I'll give it that.  My problem to begin was the tension.  When I crochet, I like to have something solid to hold onto while working the project.  With this stitch, I admit, it took me a while to get the tension the same on each stitch. I worked up my first heart and stitched it on and then had an Ahhh Haaa moment!  I solved my problem and wrote the pattern with 2 options of working the Love Knot stitch.

Woo Hoo!!!

It worked and I Love how it turned out using Red Heart With Love for the base
and Red Heart Soft for the Love Knot sections.  I also have one started using Red Heart Swanky  for a little extra sparkle and I'm really liking that option too!

Sooooo,  What's the exciting news?  Well, my "With All My Heart Photo Prop" WON!!!  The judges had to rank all 12 designs in 4 different categories and it was apparently an EXTREMELY close vote.  I was floored when I was given the news!  After seeing the other amazing designs in this round, I had a few in mind to be the winners.  Seriously, I've made a list of all the designs and who I know will need each of them.  Isn't it amazing how 12 designers can use the same stitch and theme and come up with so many beautiful creations?
A huge thank you goes out to all our fans for following and voting!  A Big hug and thanks goes out to all our Judges and admins for this round.  I was definitely glad I didn't have to choose a winner and am still in a little bit of shock that I was chosen to be 1 of the winners.
Now,  How would you like to win this pattern AND all the supplies to make it?  The winner will receive 1 Hook, 3 skeins of yarn, Yarn needles, scissors and stitch markers.
